Giving Back to our village

The SmallWall Skills Arena, which proudly stands in the heart of Kilconly village, is a one-stop shop where children from the locality and beyond can drop-in to work on and to improve their basic fundamental movements skills in a fun and safe environment.

The development of this arena was and still is the passion project of our company’s founder, Seán Dunleavy, who alongside the close-knit community of Kilconly, worked tirelessly to turn what was once a mere ambition of his into a reality. It goes without saying that the 20m2 AstroTurf-based arena that we see today was no overnight project, but instead was the results of years of hard work that first began in 2017.

Back to its beginnings...

The project development first kicked-off in 2017, with the installation of its groundworks, its AstroTurf base, and its 3-meter surrounding fence.

The Official Launch...

August 2018 marked the official opening of the SmallWall Arena to the community. Minister Sean Kyne, Deputy Sean Canney and Cllr Patsy O’Brien were present at the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Friends and family from the area turned out in force, and the new arena went down a storm with all kids in attendance on that day…

Today, the SmallWall Arena still sees regular visits from sports teams, from schools, from individuals; – and it is very popular on training and match nights at the pitch and through the weekend…
