About the Project:

Crossabeg NS is a rural school situated 8km from Wexford set in the countryside surrounded by hills and green fields. The school caters for 178 pupils and has a staff of 7 classroom teachers, 2 full time S.E.N. teachers, 1 Special Class Teacher, 1 shared S.E.N. teacher, 1 Administrative Principal, 6 S.N.A.s, 1 Nurse, 1 full time secretary and 1 caretaker. It has a very active Parents Association involved with the school and its first Special Class for children with Autism called The Buttercup Class was recently opened.

We delivered 8 Horizontal Climbing Boards to the school in November 2022 for installation by the caretaker under our instructions.

The climbing wall is amazing and such a huge hit with the children. They love taking part and it is a great core workout that everyone can complete. We use it during PE and we have even extended it’s use to our Infant classes who climb with a buddy from 6th helping
