Scoil Réalt na Mara was founded in September 1978 in Skerries to cater 35 junior infants in an expanding community. By September 1985 the school had the full range of classes with 17 teachers on the staff and currently, the school now has 466 pupils, one Principal, 23 teachers and two Special Needs Assistants. A new 3 room Special Education extension was opened in 2013. The school has won 5 green flags and teachers in the school are heavily involved in preparing children for Gaelic Football leagues, rugby, cricket, hockey, chess, athletics, choral work, Christmas concerts and carol services.
This school is a returning customer having initally ordered 6 traverse climbing boards in 2020. May 2021 saw the school purchase another 6 boards and installation was carried out by their caretaker. A total of 12 Traverse Climbing Boards have been installed in 2 locations by the school.
