St. Nicholas N.S. is under the Church of Ireland patronage and is located in the heart of Dundalk town. The school has over 150 students and it first opened in 1960, after the closure of other schools which were based in the Wellington Hall and St Mary’s Road.
The school has undergone transformations over the years, the latest of which opened in September 2022 to accommodate mainstream classes together with classes for children with Autism (The Haven).
The Haven is a purpose build facility which opened in September 2017, comprising of 2 classes for children with Autism.
We installed 10 Traverse Climbing Boards on a lovely exterior wall. This will give the children an extra area to learn and play at break time and ensure increased movements, physical activity and development of upper body strength
