St Itas & St Josephs Special School is located in Tralee, Co Kerry. It is a school dedicated to the education of students at both primary and post primary level. Students are encouraged to participate in all kinds of sports while attending the school with the boys playing in the Munster and All Ireland inter schools outdoor and indoor competitions. A number of students have been capped for Ireland. Basketball is a huge part of school life in St Itas and St Josephs along with swimming and athletics.
The school also has an extensive Beyond the Curriculum education, which allows the children to follow their own path into adult life matching their own personalities, abilities and personal aspirations and supports them in developing their independence and attaining skills and abilities that are beyond academics.
The school had an installation of a senior and junior cosy cocoon along with a A Frame and a Target Board.
